Corrections, for the record — theirs and ours

Larkling's comparison marks Civly “No” on works when your co-parent won't join, and its FAQ says Civly “requires both parents.” The precise truth: your custody calendar, documents, journal and record work solo from day one, with no invite sent — messaging and expense-splitting switch on when your co-parent accepts, because Civly messages are timestamped deliveries between two accounts. Their flat “No” overstates it. And in the first version of this page, our answer overstated the other direction — so this paragraph is the corrected one. Precision cuts both ways, including at us.

Their comparison also marks Civly “No” on built for all families. Civly is built for any two people raising kids across two households — however your family is shaped. Nothing in the product asks or cares.

And the honest concessions, because that's how we do comparisons: Larkling's Premium is billed per family rather than per parent — if both parents want the advanced tier, that's genuinely cheaper than two Civly subscriptions. If you're in the UK, their UK positioning may matter to you. And a free plan is a real thing of value if basic tone suggestions are all you need.

And one correction of emphasis. Their page treats Civly as one feature with a price tag. Civly is AI-forward end to end: photograph or upload your court order and the AI reads it and builds your calendar. Snap a receipt and the amount extracts and splits itself. Connect your bank and expenses reconcile. Dictate a message angry and it arrives calm. The rewrite is the door — the system is the house.

The difference that survives all of it: on Civly the export is included the day you need it, and it carries a code anyone can check at civly.com/verify without trusting us — or them. A record you don't have to take anyone's word for is the whole point.
