Every certified export carries a SHA-256 hash and a verification code printed on the document. Anyone — your attorney, theirs, a mediator — can enter that code at civly.com/verify and see when it was generated, how many records it covers and the date range. No account needed. Whether any record is admitted in a proceeding is always the court's decision.

You can export everything — messages, calendar, expenses — before or after you cancel. We hold your data for 90 days after cancellation and then delete it. Export first; we'll email a reminder before the window closes, but set your own too.

They can. Anything either of you sends is part of the same record — that cuts both ways, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can tell you is that the record is the same one you're already creating in texts, only organized. Your unsent drafts stay out of it.

Your co-parent sees only what you send. Drafts and vents you don't send are not shown to them and are not part of an export. We won't tell you nobody could ever see them — a court can order production of anything any company holds, and any app that promises otherwise is overselling. What we control, we've told you. One more thing worth knowing: to write the calm version, your draft is processed by our AI provider (Anthropic); under our agreement it is not used to train their models.
